Join Chef Tyler for a fun, hands on educational experience!
Learn about the essential knives to complete your collection, as well as the knife skills and safety practices you will need to achieve professional results at home.
We will also learn how to operate and maintain the tools of refinement used in professional kitchens including a manual and electronic pasta machine, the gnocchi board, the tamis and chinois (fine mesh), the mandolin (vegetable slicer) and the moulis (vegetable mill).
We will use these tools and methods to prepare:
Tortilla Soup
Egg Pasta
Potato Gnocchi
Silky & Buttery Mashed Potatoes
Drop off your your favourite chef knife from home the day before class and receive a free knife sharpening!
Class begins at 5:30pm, and will run approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.
Chef Tyler Duft has over 20 years of experience in the culinary industry. He currently owns and operates the award winning Duft & Co Bakehouse with his wife Cassandra. Tyler is a professionally trained chef who spent the early years of his career working in fine dining kitchens in Vancouver. Returning to his home town in the Fraser Valley , he and his wife have spent the better part of 15 years leading the valley’s culinary trends and proudly representing their community in the Historic Downtown alongside other locally owned businesses offering their amazing products and services.
He is looking forward to continuing sharing his passion for food and culinary education with his community!

Please make proper note of your workshop day and time at purchase. Workshop information remains posted online until the day after the class if you need to confirm information.
Tickets are non-refundable, but if you are unable to attend, please feel free to pass your tickets on to another party.
Please understand that food has been purchased and preparations have been done on your behalf sometimes several days in advance, so we are unable to give refunds.
We cannot guarantee that foods will be allergen- or sensitivity-free, but you are welcome to come to class to learn, get recipes and tips. People with allergies and/or sensitivities should be aware that tasting is at your own risk.
