    Are you new to baking and cooking? Let Sharon help you start your culinary journey with her beginner-friendly classes! In this fun and relaxed environment, you’ll learn the basics of making homemade sourdough bread from scratch. Sharon will guide you through the simple steps of creating sourdough starter, mixing dough, and understanding key baking techniques.

     

    No experience required — Sharon’s step-by-step instructions will give you the confidence to make delicious bread at home. Sharon will provide you with some lasagna to enjoy during class, and then demonstrate how to create a simple, decadent dessert to try as well.

    By the end of the class, you'll leave with your own dough ball, the skills to bake fresh sourdough, and the knowledge to bring a simple meal and dessert to your kitchen. Perfect for anyone looking to expand their cooking skills in a fun, supportive environment!

    Two servings of wine or a non-alcoholic beverage is provided to each student.
     
    Class begins at 5:30pm, and will run approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.

    Sharon grew up in Switzerland, in the highest city of Europe, where she completed her culinary school. She moved to Canada and married her Canadian husband over 8 years ago. To get over homesickness after her move, she started to experiment with sourdough and it quickly became a hobby and big passion of hers. Now a mother of two young children, she has developed simple techniques and a system to bake sourdough bread multiple times a week. She would love to share that passion and knowledge with you.

    Please make proper note of your workshop day and time at purchase.  Workshop information remains posted online until the day after the class if you need to confirm information.

    Tickets are non-refundable, but if you are unable to attend, please feel free to pass your tickets on to another party.

    Please understand that food has been purchased and preparations have been done on your behalf sometimes several days in advance, so we are unable to give refunds.

    We cannot guarantee that foods will be allergen- or sensitivity-free, but you are welcome to come to class to learn, get recipes and tips. People with allergies and/or sensitivities should be aware that tasting is at your own risk.
